the field of galaxy formation and evolution, as well as in
atmospheric optics applied to the development of high spatial
resolution instruments. She was in change of the line " Nuclear
activity in galaxy" at the IAC between 2010 and 2014 and has
been principal investigator of three projects funded by national
programs of scientific and technical infrastructures.
She has published about 80 articles in international refereed
journals and several book chapters. As instrumentation area
coordination, she supervised the IAC's participation and under
her direction there were about 80 persons, including engineers
