The lady was willing to break some laws for him. If she was to get caught by the thought police she would be in deep poop. She gave Winston the note. That said I love you. She met up with him at the square. She committed thought crime for him. To Winston this woman wants him and will do anything to be with him. Showing she really does love him. Winston has been lonely for sometime now and he finally found someone that wants to rebel with him. This may be blinding Winston's views of the world because love is a powerful thing and can be blinding, this woman could possibly be leading him into trap to get him caught by big brother. Ever since meeting the woman, Winston has been happier, he acts as he wants to live, he wants to be alive.
