Scattered and low rolling hills are found in the perimeter of the Indus Plains. It consists of Piedmont plains, Active flood plains, old flood plains and alluvial terraces.
Though, Indus Plains are mostly famous for their rich in nutrition active flood plains. They are mostly found on banks of Indus and occupied little area around it's tributaries. These plains contain the ideal conditions for growth of crops such as rice. Their width varies from 24km to 40km.
