I think this video could be pretty helpful for people who have trouble motivating themselves to finish schoolwork for a handful of reasons. It exposes that it's not the lack of motivation that get's them, it's the lack of action to put the groundwork for motivation. Groundwork for motivation can be described as systems put in place to assist yourself to focus on certain objectives. Examples could be setting up a reward system for yourself for when you do something that is productive, or restricting your access to distractions while you are supposed to be doing your work, or setting up punishments for when you fail to act quickly on your objective. Frank (the guy in the video) also mentioned that sometimes people don't think heavily enough about the possible consequences for not doing your work (which could act as motivation in and of itself). Thinking about the feeling of completing your work on time/early could act as great motivation as well.

The video is actually more intended for older audiences with businesses and such, but many of the strategies Frank mentions can be applied to school work as well. Being overwhelmed or experiencing burnout can occur when somebody takes on too many tasks or feels that too much tasks are being forced upon them. The first step to solving this is to basically reevaluate your organization systems, physical or digital. Organizing your desk or files on your computer are great examples of this, this step helps you prepare to take on tasks more efficiently. The second step is to reestablish routines, sometimes when you force yourself to work 100% of the time, you become less efficient. You have to determine which hours of the day are off-limits for work, and which ones are for work. Routines could be your morning routine, time for exercise, etc. The third step is to prioritize your goals, and say no to tasks that either aren't required or prioritized. It really all ads up to learning to manage your time efficiently.

This video gives a quick lesson on why failure isn't the end, and actually serves as a step towards success. It is very easy to get demotivated by a failed test/assignment, or even something you'd consider a failure in personal life. The video conveys that the first step of recovering from failure is identifying what went wrong. Whether it be the lack of studying, lack of action, or lack of preparation, there is always a point to identify where success started falling apart. The next step is to identify what you can do to make sure you don't make the same mistake again. That way, you can remove the factor that interfered with your success and you can more confidently try again at whatever it is you failed at. And if you fail again, you repeat the steps and keep trying.
