Our school is located in a residential community with estimated population of 40.229 as of the 2015 cencus. Agriculture and stockbreeding is the main source of income for our community. Currently, our town has five high schools, eighty-eight elementary schools, two kindergartens one regional boarding school.

 Our town, Horasan covers an area of 1662 square meters and its height is 1650 meters above the sea level. It  is geographically located in the east of Erzurum City and lies on the bank of Aras River. It is 90km to the city of Erzurum. Erzurum is the largest province in Eastern Anatolia and an important  transportation junction for travellers coming to Eastern Turkey. With its historical and natural attractions, Erzurum is a one of the best winter tourism destinations of our country.

 Inkilap Secondary School is committed to prepare pupils to understand, contribute to, and succeed in a rapidly changing society. Students are empowered to meet future challenges and develop social awareness, civic responsibility and personal growth so that they will be active and contributing citizens in their community. Our dedicated teaching staff  is committed to excellence with a high motivation for improvement of student competences.

 Our students are fully dedicated  to strive for excellence every day: in the classroom, on the athletic fields, and in the community with their excellent results in various fields. Our school students were awarded as 1st and 2nd place winners between 2014-2017 in various local and regional inter-school athletic competitions in table tennis, volleyball, football, athleticism and in handball. Our school has also obtained excellent results in various Art and Science Contests.

 Our school is the beneficiary of Fatih Project in Education and a student-friendly library Project. Fatih Project in Education was started in 2014 with the purpose of providing equal opportunities in education and improving the technology in schools in a way that informatics technology tools to engage more senses in the educational process. As a beneficiary of this project our school was equipped with smart boards, high speed and secure internet.

 The other project was a the Enriched Libraries Project of Turkish Ministry of National Education. The aim of this project was to provide the students a student-friendly and colorful social activity field at schools which will motive them read more and love to read. As a beneficiary of this project we have a nicely decorated kids library at our school which meets the curiosity and interests of our students in the best way.
