Be specific!</p><p>-Universal precautions are a set of guidelines designed to prevent the transmission of bloodborne pathogens.  Certain precautions needed to properly care for a wound consist of maintaining hand hygiene, using PPE, safely handling any sharps, safe disposal of waste  maintaining respiratory and hygiene etiquette, and many other factors.</p></li><li><p>explain the proper way to remove gloves </p><ul><li><p>using the pinch and pull technique, use your non dominant hand and pinch the outside of the glove near the wrist area without touching your skin and slowly peel the glove off turning the glove inside out.  then slide your bare hand's fingers underneath the remaining glove and peel the glove off with the same technique turning the remaining glove inside out.  then discard both gloves</p><p><br></p></li><li><p>  Explain how to recognize an infected wound.
