The purpose of this survey was to show how many people in the public community support the ban of smoking in public or just a total ban. The survey shows men and women, different age groups, conservatives, moderates and liberals, republicans and democrats, College graduates and nongraduates and the percentage of agreement in each group. The intended audience of this survey is for the government to see that many people from many different groups, young and old, agree that public smoking should be banned. The rhetorical device logos was used in this sources. It is very effective because it shows the public's logistics on the topic of public smoking. This source will help with the topic of "smoking should be banned in all public spaces" because it provides evidence and clarifies how most of the Americans feel about smoking in public. There is a possible defect since the number of people who is surveyed is unknown. This source is both useful and relevant to the research topic.

The purpose of this article is to show that many countries around the world have put bans on smoking in public places and more and more countries have been following the ban on smoking in public as time has went by. This article shows that countries like Ireland, Norway, Italy, Australia and many more countries now have tried to put a ban on public smoking for a very long time and even though laws have been broken and the courts have caved in, more and more laws are being made for public smoking to be banned. The intended audience is for the governments of other countries who have not followed with public smoking bans to see that many countries who are developing have tried to improve their air quality as well as the citizens health in hopes that other countries will eventually give in and ban public smoking themselves so that it could make a change on Earth. The rhetorical device used is logos. This is very effective because it shows what is happening around the world and shows what countries are doing to ban public smoking entirely. This source will help with the topic "smoking should be banned in all public spaces" because it shows the countries from around the world who have already put those laws into place and are reinforcing them to make sure it stays, making other countries who have not started to make those laws about public ban on smoking start to think about making them because it would make a difference in their citizens life. There is no defect in this article because it shows the historic events that are happening both currently and from the past about the smoking bans in public places. This source is both useful and relevant to the research topic.

The purpose of this article is to show the harmful impacts of individuals who smoke and the harmful impacts to others as well. This article shows that smoking can be harmful to yourself because cancer, stroke, heart diseases, and many others can be caused just from one cigarette. The indented audience is the individuals who smoke and the Ministry of Health as well as the government to see that smoking can cause major diseases and problems to the human body, even just breathing in the smoke from cigarettes can cause issues especially for the people that have lung problems already. The rhetorical device is pathos. This is very effective because it provides the emotions and evidence for the individuals that smoke in public to feel a way where they would think that smoking in public should be banned because of how many problems it has caused to the public and to themselves. This sources will help with the topic "smoking should be banned in all public spaces" because it shows the health issues that can lead to death if nothing has been changed.
