letter: when my grandfather was forced into joining the war as a young adult he was surprised to see that his younger brother was also enlisted in the war, when my grandfather had to leave his wife and kids they were so devastated when he had to leave them, and the same for his younger brother but he had to leave his wife and kids also his parents, during the time my grandfather was in the war my grandmother had to take over his job and watch the kids which was a lot for her to do, for 2 years the black African soldiers did labor and many other things but the only thing they didn't get to do was fight and they were mistreated because of their skin tone which was a terrible experience into the first world war for black Africans, so when my grandfather and his younger brother returned from war they never felt better than before, when they had arrived they had to part ways from each other my grandfather went back to reunite with his family the same for his younger brother all of them were happy when they had returned and had not died in the deadly battle

letter: it started on July 1916 when the military authorized the NO.2 construction battalion, which was the most significant black unit in Canada. Members like my uncle were proud to serve the king. However, there were still some issues the black people still faced racism both at their homes and on a boat despite all of their hard work and their time in the war, around the time when the first world war had begun people were looking for white men to join it but when some black people were happy to obliged or applied they were rejected some even said that this is a white man's war some were also told there services were not required, a fact at least 200 black men were rejected. during that time Canada was recruiting officers for the battalion and the commanding officers didn't want black people to be in it, but my uncle had never given up hope sure we get kicked out or not meet the qualifications so my uncle had an idea why make our own battalion so they did they got it a construction battalion made for coloured men and was also overseas they way it got created form them asking the British governor because he didn't want them to learn how to fight if they were in the war they would get battle experience and might take down British colonies so he made the No. 2 construction battalion

letter: when we reached the roaring twenties it was only my half-elder sister and her dad living together at the time and one day her dad bought a radio for the news but when my elder sister heard some music playing for the first time she had been rushing down the stairs like a rampaging lion or bear anyways when she reached downstairs face to face with her dad and the radio she bluntly asks him what is that noise because she had never heard something like that before so her dad tells her that it's music and after that experience, she made it her life goal to become a famous musician like her ideal Elvis Presley who was a popular artist at the time after that she had worked her hardest with her dance moves and singing she had become an amazing musician through all of her hard work even her father was proud of her because it's a huge compliment her voice was heard by many people said her voice was like Bessie smith who was one of the first black females to record and blues song and after that she met a great man and they lived a long life together until she died in an axident witch left her husband in despar on that same fatful day he had a surprise for her but instead he was left in tears after her death he never married again after my half sisters death she was very dear to him

letter: when my aunt was taken from her home she was sent away for four too five years to a residential school the first thing they taught the females is how to knit clothing if they misbehave or don't listen the teachers would either cut off their hair and take away their power to write notes to their families, one day she had tried to leave the school and return home on a boat or canoe she thought it would be for the best to leave because she didn't want to learn those things, For Instance learning a new and different language that she never heard of or spoke and she didn't want to get in trouble and if you get in trouble for a girl if you have pigtails a style of hair for girls the teacher would cut it off and even worse than that you either would get beaten and strapped even some students were shackled to their bed and if you spoke your native language people would say that they would shove needles into your tongue or your mouth and abuse there was terrible and after all of these reasons my aunt decided to stay their for her remaining years because she didn't want to get in trouble

diary entry: when d-day happens to the people it was one of the most amphibious operations in the history of the military more than 10,000 Canadian sailors in 110 warships and there were 15 RCAF squadrons and participation of 14,000 soldiers on d-day, Juno beach was one of five beaches that were assaulted and this day is also known as one of the greatest and largest invasion and this battle was fought on all three seas and land and air. more than 9,000 Allied soldiers were killed or wounded on the first day of the battle and this battle can be considered to be Hitlers begging and end of Hitler's regime. during the Battle of Normandy over 425,000 Allied and German troops were killed, wounded or went missing. This figure includes around 210,000 Allied casualties, with nearly 37,000 killed amongst the ground forces and a further 16,000 deaths amongst the Allied air forces. This specific beach was assigned to the Canadian Army’s 3rd Infantry Division and 2nd Armoured Brigade. 155,000 troops landed on Normandy as soon as possible because the Canadians had successfully captured their shoreline positions at Juno Beach and penetrated the farthest inland. d-day was a struggle but only the beginning to liberate France.
