A managing director with Compass Advisory Consultants since 2013, Jay Holstine recently became a CEO Peer Group Advisory / Chair with Vistage Worldwide, Inc., in Plano, Texas. In this position, he coordinates and engages with chief executive officers on various matters of corporate leadership and corporate growth, with an overriding goal of delivering long-term results through personalized executive coaching sessions and facilitating the group’s shared wisdom. Jay Holstine is particularly skilled when it comes to strategy and operations consulting, active listening, and issue facilitation. His work at Compass Advisory Consultants involved coaching business leaders on everything from effective startup processes to successful exit strategies.

As a chair with Vistage Worldwide in the Dallas, Jay Holstine meets with his members once a month providing a one-to-one session to discuss issues, opportunities, and business strategy. The one-to-one drives the purpose and focus of the overall Vistage experience.

Previously Jay Holstine served as managing director of Compass Advisory Consultants where he worked closely with early-stage startups to advise them on strategic go-forward plans, governance, building teams, key talent acquisition, board presentations, raising investment capital, and building scalable structures that led to 30% of companies being successfully exited.

With a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Kansas, Jay Holstine began his career as a manufacturing operations consultant with Accenture in New York, and as a supply chain strategy consultant with Deloitte Consulting. Jay left consulting to serve as the plant manager for Taylor Instruments near Asheville NC. In 2001, Jay founded SigmaFlow, a cloud-based process management solution that he successfully sold to a private equity company in 2012.

Building and empowering a high-achieving CEO Peer group that produces more effective leaders is Jay Holstine’s passion. Jay manages the CEO Peer group issue resolution sessions that surface root causes, pooled perspectives and shared wisdom.

Jay Holstine currently serves as chair and CEO peer group advisor at Vistage Worldwide in Dallas, Texas. The CEO Peer group contains approximately 18 members from non-competing businesses that support each other to become better leaders. In addition to chairing the group’s monthly meetings, Jay provides each member with one-to-one sessions to discuss issues, opportunities and business strategy.

Prior to his work at Vistage, Jay Holstine was a managing director with Compass Advisory Consultants, where he refined his business building and CEO coaching skills. Previously, Jay served as the chief executive officer and president of Freightflow, a cloud-based transportation management software company, and chief executive officer, president, and founder of SigmaFlow, a cloud-based process management solution. Jay is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering.
