I was taught my whole life that there is only one true God, and I still carry those teachings with me to this day. Seeing as my grandparents also were part of the church, my grandfather was a lay minister, while my grandmother attended meetings with the church committee back in the province, I believe that helped in strengthening my faith as they were around me growing up.

I am able to showcase this through the service I offer people that are in need of help. For me, the help that I need to give does not always have to be big nor extravagant. Rather, it must be done through an act of kindness and willingness, without asking for anything in return.

When we go outside, for example, and see how will people beg for things that we see as possession, we can say it is tragic.

I have this question that is attached to the third characteristic of faith where when we are capable of doing stuff that others can’t, we should grab that opportunity to assist them. Maybe I’m just attached to the community but I see this as a practice to respond to the said question. And I think this is the essence of love and faith. They both shall be passed to the world.

Looking at my own faith, I believe that I have a Loving, Maturing, and Missionary characteristic because of how I am as a person. I would often be described by the people who know me as someone who is kind, caring, compassionate, generous, etc. These are just some characteristics that can be seen in how Jesus served the people then. I always try my best to do everything out of love and service to others. I tend to be selfless and make sure I am able to help the people around me. Even though only one member of my family is non-Catholic, it didn't become a hindrance for us to still follow our beliefs. I grew up surrounded by Catholic people who are very devoted and trust His words. I, myself, am also a Catholic and I can say that my relatives and family helped me to be closer to God and have more faith. Having to conclude all the things I mentioned, I do believe that I belong to the Incultured.

Among all the characteristics of Faith. I certainly believe that I possess the characteristic of Loving, Maturing, and Missionary.  The best way in which we could practice love is to give out love, and one of the ways in which we could give out love would be through service. We are all struggling in this world, and no one will help one another but ourselves. That sense of connection is what makes us become united. 

 We should be able to open up and help someone who's in need. The kind of help we should be able to give must not come from any other agenda, but through the willingness to serve and give out love towards everyone.  God is love, and Jesus is the perfect embodiment of it.  I've always believed that Love is defined by the sacrifices that we make for another person, Jesus loved us so much that he gave up his life for the sins of mankind. Jesus could be seen as a perfect role model that we should follow. 

Despite not receiving the same kind of help that I usually give out. I still do my best to help. After all, I certainly believed that helping from the heart is the best kind of help, we need to help and not ask for anything back. Love is after all, about giving, and not receiving.

As a child of God, I firmly believe that in terms of experiences, I have attained a broader perspective on the 5 different characteristics of faith. Experience-wise, traveling back to the day that I was born is my total and absolute characteristic because that was the moment that God called me to adhere to Him, it was my day of entitlement that I am one of the children and servant of God. 

Secondly, reverently believe in the power and supremacy of the Holy Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. For me, nothing is more powerful and essential than acknowledging the essence of the Sign of the Cross, in every problem that I encountered whether its good or bad, happy moments, unfortunate times, disastrous dilemmas, ecstatic junctures, I always, without any hesitation make use of the Sign of the Cross because, for me, that is my way of thanking, glorifying, and making amends to all the things that I have done.

Thirdly, Loving, Maturing and Missionary is obviously a natural thing for me to do, helping other people in times of need, encouraging them to do better, spreading words of wisdom for them to attain, and just by simply listening to what they have to say is a form of a loving, maturing, and missionary practice. Following the path of Christ and anchoring my ways to His judgments fosters and nurtures my mentality and personality to always see the good in everything.

And, the last characteristic that I possess is being Inculturated. In this matter, considering that I came from a religious family, we worship and glorify God in all ways possible, if not always in the way we expect. Believing in our culture, fulfilling the practice of our traditions, and enlivening God as the center of our life.

This kind of credence, held with sufficient firmness and conviction, tangles with my devotion and veneration to the Lord.
