Our groups prediction is that the democratic candidate, Chris Pappas will win. First, looking at the sociological factors, New Hampshire is relatively young. This is due to the popular colleges (ex. Dartmouth) in the state and the fact that their population is . From past collected data, younger people are prone to vote democratic therefore supporting our claim that Chris Pappas will win. Another piece of evidence that suggests that Pappas will win is the fact that New Hampshire first district has voted democrat in 4 out of the last 6 elections and looks like it will lean democrat in this years election. According to (“Voting in New Hampshire.” Ballotpedia) New Hampshire is starting to become even more democratic than it already is.

One could point to New Hampshire's high amount of white voters as a deciding factor in favor of Edwards, but this is incorrect when you factor in the high median income. According to the U.S census the median income in NH's first district is 10,000 dollars higher than the national average suggesting that.

All of this evidence shows clearly that Pappas will take the seat without trouble.
