I'm just so worried about districts going with the hybrid plans because it means that teachers will have to be in the buildings full time, but all of our own children will have days home and no one to be with them. Childcare will take 1/2 my paycheck.

we may want to send a survey or similar together with class assignment mailings or other communication to identify parents that need technical support to ensure they can support their kids adequately once school year starts. Knowing this early, may help us seek solutions, possibly pair them with fellow parents, etc. to off-load teachers and staff or at least proactively seek a solution before the academic years gets going in full swing. Also may better allow for setting up 'parent training' at times that may be more conducive for parents

Maybe our summer programs can share their experience here but curious what a recess looks like during pandemics. I know this may sound trivial but, as a parent, not clear what happens when you tell a bunch of 7 year olds to go play yet they cannot play the way they normally do. Point here is it may require more supervision than we thought, it may be a source of frustration, and/or we may need to come up with a list of alternate activities that may keep them happy during this time. Is there a plan to have recess or similar ? I have heard about mask breaks or the like but curious what the thinking is here and whether I am over-thinking this ?

It may not be a good idea from health standpoint or simply not practical and confuse parents, teachers, and staff but figured I would throw the idea.
