As we approach the finals in our GE7 subject, Science, Technology, and Society, I am expecting to explore more about how science and technology continue to shape our modern world, especially in addressing current global issues. We have already completed Chapter 5, and I am looking forward to learning more about the ethical, social, and environmental impacts of technological advancements. I still want to understand how technology influences human behavior, culture, and communication in today’s digital era. In addition to that, I expect that our remaining lessons will be as happy and entertaining just like how maam discuss the other lessons during our midterm.Lastly, I hope we can use knowledge responsibly for sustainable progress.

For our final term, I am expecting to learn about the detailed process of the science and technology cycle. I am determined to know how the science and technology cycle begins. Does it simply start with a need, a problem, or an idea from people? I also want to learn how people invented technology from scratch and how it greatly benefits our society. These questions in my mind fuel my interest and eagerness to learn and discover more in our upcoming lessons.

After we discussed Science and Technology Chapters 1–5 In almost three months, I enjoyed the activities, such as role-playing, and I learned a lot about this subject. For the upcoming finals, I hope the material covered will further expand my knowledge of how science is applied in our daily lives and how technology continues to change our world. I also want to understand more deeply how inventions and discoveries affect society, both positively and negatively. I am excited to learn new topics in this subject that will challenge my critical thinking. Lastly, I hope that this subject will help me appreciate the importance of science and technology in shaping the future, and I hope that I will enjoy the upcoming activities in this subject even more.

Since in the previous term we learned

about the history of STS, I'm expecting that in the final term we will focus more on the ethics of science and technology, or perhaps on the engineering side of the subject, since it relates to our course in Civil Engineering. I hope to learn how different inventions and discoveries came to be whether they were created by accident, coincidence, or through careful planning and intelligence. I'm really curious about the creative and thought processes behind these innovations. I also want to understand how ethics guide scientists and engineers in developing technologies that benefit society. Overall, I'm looking forward to the insights this subject will provide.

For our incoming final term, I am expecting to learn more about how does science and technology affects and shape our society today . I also want to explore the ways in which scientific advancements and technological innovations impact our daily lives, from communication and healthcare to transportation and education. I also hope to learn about the ethical considerations and societal challenges that arise with rapid technological progress, such as issues of inequality and environmental impact. And also to learn the proper ways to use science and technology for the betterment of our society.This includes understanding our own responsibilities on science and technology , addressing potential negative consequences, and promoting equitable access to technological benefits for all the members of our community.And also I want to learn on how can me,myself contribute to the advancement of science and technology in meaningful ways for the betterment of our society.

As we approach the finals for Science, Technology, and Society, I anticipate that subsequent discussions and activities within this subject will be further expanded, presenting greater challenges to us students. This will serve to cultivate a deeper understanding of contemporary elements, such as modern technologies, which are now ubiquitous. Over the past three months, we have learned from initial discussions about the origins, development, and appropriate utilization of advanced technology, spanning from ancient times to the 21st century. This included a debate concerning the relative efficacy and importance of various technologies. We also participated in a role-playing exercise, illustrating the lifestyles of individuals employing both modern and traditional technological methods. Therefore, with the approaching finals, my expectation for this subject is that it will broaden our knowledge base and instruct us further on the proper application of advanced technologies, enabling us to discern appropriate and inappropriate practices. In this era, such technologies are integral to daily life, encompassing communication, transportation, academics, and even the construction of building structures within our community and other countries.

Our first term in Science, Technology, and Society was very enjoyable due to the many interesting activities that our professor administered us. It is true that with the persistent pressure that we bear in engineering, such activities could cause us more fatigue. However, to me, these activities did not feel mundane at all. One would argue that it has given us more rest in the sense that for a fleeting time, we were able to experience fun amidst the gloom of engineering. Therefore, I expect the same level of fun on our last term of this subject while also being able to learn more about science and technology, and in how many more ways could we possibly apply it in search of development. Moreover, due to the quick advancement of technology, we as a species would discover many ways on how we could make our lives easier as well as, unfortunately, shorter and more dangerous. Due to this, I would like to learn more about the ethical concerns and philosophy that we, as sentient beings, should practice in order to not bring about our own destruction and harness the power of our own capabilities of development at a controllable intensity. These, I believe, could steer us away from accidentally inflicting irreversible damage to both mankind and the world.

Science, Technology, and Society (STS), the three intertwined concepts that cannot be separated from one another. As we approach further from the topic, the historical context, and the intricate details of the progression of humanity towards a meaningful life, one realized that to make change and progress to occur, one must take a step and make a move to discover the new horizon.

In this coming final term, I expect the coming final term of STS to be engaging and insightful as usual, especially in connecting technology with real-life engineering applications. I look forward to learning how science and innovation influence infrastructure development and sustainability. The first half of the subject was fun and interesting, so I hope the next lessons will continue to be interactive and can spark new ideas. I also expect to explore more about how future technologies can relate to and be utilized in our field, civil engineering. Overall, I am excited to apply what I will learn in STS to my future career as an engineer who builds not only for efficiency but also for the good of the people.

To begin with, Science, Technology, and Society are indeed inseparable, for the reason that they are interconnected in various ways. Therefore, we can use them in a way that is interrelated, since they influence each other. As we finished learning the chapters one to five, I learned a lot, especially, how Science, Technology, and Society evolve through different timelines, from ancient period to recent century. I admit that I enjoyed all the activities that we did because i learned how science started, how technology has developed and helped, and how it has affected society.

For the upcoming final term, i'm looking forward to learn deeply about Science, Technology, and Society. In what ways can we use this subject as an official civil engineer someday? Who are the other inventors of technology and what's their reason behind it? Do Science, Technology and Society shape us as humans? How? Those are the questions I've been curious about and hoping for it to be answered. As well as, I would like to learn how I can contribute to Science, Technology, and Society as an engineering student in order to provide and develop an advanced and better society. Another thing, i'm really expecting a lot to have more fun activities just like we did in the midterm. I have enjoyed every one of them since those activities make the lessons fun to learn with. Lastly, to my daily life, I hope I can use all the upcoming knowledge just like how I apply the topics that we have discussed recently. To sum up, I won't deny that this subject is really interesting to study, that's why I prefer to dive into this subject more to expand my knowledge, in a way that I would enjoy studying it instead of getting bored with it.

After all the lessons that we tackled on midterms, I really learned a lot. I remember grasping all the knowledge I can even though sometimes it is confusing. But as we come closer to finals, I hope that I can strengthen my knowledge more in Science, Technology, and Society because it is important in our daily lives because almost everything evolves around this subject/course. I also expect that we can really see or experience the connection between what we study and in real-life situations. Our teacher, Ma’am Joselle has been very interactive with us and teaches in a way that makes learning easy and enjoyable. Now that we’re entering the finals, I’m hoping the it won’t be too hard and will just cover what we’ve learned. I kinda wanna see if I actually improved in this subject. Since the midterm goes well and fun, I'm looking forward to the finals and expecting it to be even more enjoyable. I’m also wondering if the test will be more on thinking or just remembering stuff. As a student for Ma'am Joselle she has been a great instructor for us in this subject. She has always cater us with kindness and consideration helping us to learn in a way we won't feel burned out. In the final terms, I'm expecting the exam to be quite comprehensive, connecting all the different innovations and historical topics we've discussed. I hope it challenges us to think critically about the societal and ethical impacts of these advancements, rather than just memorizing facts and dates.
