Malioboro is located on Yogyakara city. Malioboro was one of the most famous place that have to be visited when you are travelled to Yogyakarta. Malioboro was a place but it was also a legendary street that stretches from the Yogyakarta Monument to Kilometer Zero Point. Malioboro street was decorated with an iconic street lamps, that looks very beautiful at night. It atracted so many tourists every year. They are liked to walking around the street, taking a photos, and maybe having a local street food at Malioboro. And for the fun fact, malioboro street was build near to Keraton Ngayogyakarta, where's the sultan or the leader of Yogyakarta has lived before. And not so far from there, you can also visit the Vredeburg Fort Museum. It used to be a colonial fortress, but now it has turned into a museum, which tells people about the history of Indonesian's independence.

A Trip to the Peneleh Dutch Cemetery.

​Surabaya, a city located in East Java, is reached after a 5 to 6 hour drive from Jogja. I traveled there by car with a group of friends to explore one of the city's historical landmarks. During my visit, the heat was quite intense as the temperature soared to 33°C.

​The trip was highlighted by our visit to the Peneleh Dutch Cemetery (Makam Peneleh), which was established in 1814. While we were there, we encountered a group of cultural enthusiasts who are deeply passionate about heritage. It was fascinating to see how the local culture is still cherished by the community today. Even though the site is situated in the middle of a bustling city, the atmosphere remains very quiet and calm.

​As we walked through the rows of old tombs, we admired the unique statues and European architecture. Interestingly, this site is considered one of the oldest modern cemeteries in Indonesia. Most of the marble and iron used for these monuments were imported directly from Europe arround 19th century. Today, the cemetery is often used for historical pilgrimage and architectural photography, and also allowing visitors to trace the story of prominent figures like Governor General Pieter Merkus who was laid to rest here, or the Freemason member as an important people in colonial era.

When I was a kid, I went to Singaraja in Bali with my grandparents to visit my aunt. We traveled by bus, and the journey took almost 18 hours. It also was my first experience on a ferry and I can't forget how scared I was at that time. During the trip, I felt nauseous because of seasickness, but I still remember how beautiful the view was from the top of the ship.

When we arrived, I immediately went to the beach that is located behind my aunt’s house. The beach is called Lovina Beach and it is famous for "Dolphin sightseeing". Unfortunately, no dolphins were seen at that time because my uncle said they can only be spotted at dusk. But still, I had a fun recreation time with my family there.

In July-August 2025, i visited Argosari Village as my Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) location. It is located in Senduro District, Lumajang Regency, East Java Province. The village located in the top of east Bromo Mountain. The weather is cold because the temperature of the place around 14 degree celcius. At night, it reach lowest temperature, around 8 degree celcius. The people are nice, they are dominated by Tengger Ethnic. The culture also strong, they still cook with ‘tungku api’ or in Tengger language it is called ‘sanja gegeni’. The transportation to go to the village also varies, minibus can still get there. To get into the village, we can use any vehicle and takes about 1 hour from Senduro District. Price of thing in Argosari relatively expensive because the accessibility to this village is pretty difficult and takes time.

Argosari has one of the most popular tourism destination called B29 Peak. B29 Peak located in the east part of the village. B29 Peak was once visited by many tourist in 2010-2015. The characteristic of the B29 Peak is that the place  in the form of Bromo, Batok, Widodaren, and Kursi Mountain. B29 Peak also presents expanse clouds view. After 2015, the tourism activities have died and the place has become abandoned.

In wonosobo, travelers can visit dieng plateau. It has tourism activity like The ancient arjuna temple complex or sikunir hill that travelers can hike to see the sunrise. But the fun fact is travelers can see a unique cultural phenomenon: “Anak Rambut Gimbal”. The local believe their hair can only shave during a spesific ritual called Dieng Cultural Festival and the travelers can see the ritual.

Bangkok, or Krung Thep Mahanakorn, is the capital city of Thailand. As part of Southeast Asia, Thailand has a rainy and dry season. There are a lot of temples in Bangkok such as Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Wat Phra Kaew, and many more. The temples in Bangkok are visited by tourists.

Wat Pho is one of the temples I have visited in Bangkok. Wat Pho was originally named Wat Photaram. It is the oldest temple in Bangkok, located on Sanam Chai Road, next to the Grand Palace. The temple was built in 1688-1703. The Reclining Buddha Statue was built inside the Wat. Fun fact, a celebration for the reclining Buddha is held aroundthe time of the Siamese Songkran or in April.
