    While the use of bus boarders will require modification to existing roadways and infrastructure, it does offer a proven, effective methods for easing the transport of passengers. In addition, bus boarders cause no significant delay to drivers and may actually increase the speed of traffic flows (Bruglieria et al, 2011).

    To implement this solution, the CCC must extend a limited number of sidewalks from existing bus stops so that buses do not have to pull over to pick up / drop off passengers.  Vehicles following the bus must stop and wait (CCC, 2007, Bus boarders, p. 2). Next, the council must run a trail of this new system.  Finally, at the end of this trial traffic experts (to be appointed by the council) must make a decision on implementing this policy (CCC, 2007, Bus boarders, p.4).
