The Renaissance was a period of time right after the Middle Ages. With growing wealth and stable politics there was a resurgence in the interest of art. The Renaissance was a sort of golden age, making it easier for people to live, and providing them with new interests such as art and music. Composers such as Josquin des Prez created great music, and other composers built on his ideas. With this large amount of interest, music became very popular religiously, but also for entertainment. During the Renaissance, music and the arts developed faster than ever, creating an artistic culture that sill develops to this day.
