-The 3 main feathers: 
They two wings and the rectrices represent "good reflections", "good words", and "good deeds."
-The ring: The circle around him indicates that spirit is in a way endless, having neither a beginning, nor an end. 
-The two rings: 
They represent “Sepanta Minu,” and “Ankareh Minu." It indicates to us that we must look forward for the good in life, and turn away from the bad.
-The hand tilted upwards:
It is showing that we have to struggle to prosper.
-The other hand on the ring:
 Some interpreters consider that it is perceived as the ring of covenant. This ring represents loyalty and faithfulness.

It is knotted three times to represent "good words, good thoughts, good deeds."  Prayers are said while facing the sun, fire, or some sort of light.
