I can start reflective discussions with other people that I know who work with children who are not in early childhood education. They could have good insights. For example, I have a friend who is a teacher, and one who coaches children in soccer and running. They have different experiences that could be helpful to learn from.

Be approachable

I am a shy person, so although I enjoy working with others and am always open to collaboration, I can come off as standoffish and uninviting. One way to encourage others to collaborate with me is to be more friendly and approachable.

Connect with parents

Because I am shy, I sometimes have a difficult time talking with parents, but I know those relationships are extremely important. I want to make more of an effort to build relationships with parents/guardians so that I can learn from them and incorporate their insights on their child into my practice.

I will design the group activities and projects which help students to work colloboratively with their buddy, and provide them positive and constructive feedback which help them to improve their skills.
