Dear Ma'am Ems,

We've only known you for a while, but the fact that you have captured our hearts within so little time is undeniable.

At first, we were afraid. It may be prejudice that urged us to think you were a so-called "terror" teacher, but once you opened your mic during our first meeting, we knew. We knew that you were loving, affectionate, considerate, and someone we could approach when we needed to.

Your stories amuse us, which I can listen to all day if permitted. Though I'd prefer you to create memories with us that we can tell other people about when the opportunity lets us.

Through a single meeting, we could attest to your passion for teaching, and knowing how much you love what you do assures us that you will be a brilliant teacher, mentor, adviser, friend, and mother to all of us.

Happy Belated Birthday, Ma'am Ems. May you spread even more goodness in the world, and may the world reciprocate that goodness to you in a special way.

right off the bat, i am thankful to be one of your students. sure, they say you're intimidating, and honestly that was my first impression to you too. but as soon as you started talking, it felt almost like a mother talking to her children. you wanting to get to know us, but still setting boundaries, since it is our first time meeting. i admire how thoughtful you are as a teacher, and from i what i can tell as a mother.

it comforts me how welcoming you are. the stories you told us last meeting really made me want to hug you. i appreciate how you acknowledge us. i hope you know that many people love you and support you. we wish you a happy birthday, and may you live in happiness and dignity!

First of all, happy happy happy birthday to you po♡ you deserve the world po, and you deserve great students (like us po hehe).

My first impression was so different from others, i thought you looked so intimidating po from the words na naririnig or nalalaman ko from other students or sections, but it was so different po when i saw you true nga po yung "Don't judge the book by it's cover." :) You look lively and joyful specially when you talk po. I like it din po when you talk about sort of things like yung mga nakkwento mo po, you sound very nice person and very nice to get along with. We only met once but I can feel your passion for teaching. Honestly, my first impression of you was you were intimidating. After meeting you, I was totally wrong about it. When we heard you spoke we were actually surprised that you were so considerate, soft-spoken, and kind. I'm looking forward to be close to you and hope we have a great time this school year. Words can not convey how much comfort you brought to us since last Friday. Our faint impression of you being, "A Terror Teacher," where anxiety and pressure circulated into our veins the moment you said Good Morning, and how our hearts sought to be incorrect only this time, and who would’ve known, it was later colored into "She's a pro-student, lively teacher, and a loving mother." The terms stated may be considered “exaggerated” when describing someone you’ve listened to for only a couple of hours and haven’t even met in person yet it’s enough for us to be assured of how great you teach, may it be academically, or giving gratifying advice.

You first asked us what English was, well, English is a degree of power; and it’s because of our beloved instructors, so thank you for last week, this week, next week, and the following 10 months with you; even with the upcoming hell weeks, and academic breaks, we feel nothing but appreciation and respect towards you.
