visited here on 20/04/25 with my dad, a real trip dow memory lane for both of us. spoke to a lady called joanne who had worked there since the site opened. completely wild and a glimpse into what the area was like pre human settlement. joanne kindly gave us a tour of a locked off area of alder carr that had been cut back due to overgrowth and threat of disease spreading, and let me take a load of bark from felled branches to use as a dye. felt super connected to this place and loved using what i collected as dye.

we love burtynsky in this house he is whistleblowing on ourselves love it - here he talks about how the world is becoming more restrictive secretive and suspicious - we know what we are doing wrong and dont want others to see that we are doing wrong - this need for a facade will kill us, transparency and actually trying to clean up, improve is what will make a difference - we need to be more tolerant and understanding that things wont get better in a day but we have to at least start FOR EXAMpLE difference between greenwich ecology park then and now
