Penguins come from the big umbrella of birds. They have a pair of wings, a beak and a pair of legs just like all other birds. They are also covered with feathers. However, they cannot fly like other birds. But, they are excellent swimmers.

There are about 18 recognized types of penguins. Penguins are exclusively found in the Southern Hemisphere, particularly around Antarctica and on various sub-Antarctic islands, as well as along the southern coasts of continents like Africa, South America, and Australia.

Penguins eat exclusively seafood, and their favorites include fish, squid, and crustaceans.
