Our existence as an organization means that we antagonize an anti-Black, anti-Indigenous, anti-Queer, anti-Femme, and anti-Fat world.

We utilize dignity as a framework for understanding the relationships between inequities and solutions.

1. We acknowledge that no matter the well-intentioned circumstances, we as Black women will encounter some form of anti-Black harm while executing the work outlined in this agreement.

2. We work within the contradiction of recognizing that capitalism is the system that shapes this agreement and it is the same system that we are working in solidarity with other organizations to abolish. 

3. We are aware that our independent business efforts within a capitalist system slightly reduces the harm we regularly face due to economic, political, and physical violence but we engage it for the amount of safety, no matter how slight, it provides. 

4. We seek to liberate others and ourselves from systemic oppression. Our long-term goal could never be accomplished under this or any other contract agreement yet we continue to advocate for and work towards a world we need and deserve.

5. We prioritize virtual and/or work-from-home arrangements that support the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of our staff. 

• PROJECT KICK OFF - JULY 29, 2024

  • Ground in shared vision and goals of project

  • Establish communication channels

  • Build a timeline, work plan, and milestones for the duration of the contract

• AUG 2024 - Collect permissions from most impacted families to tell their stories (Dana)

PHASE 2

• AUG 2024 - Organize data in a communicable way

  • Explore what stories should be told

  • Explore platforms to hold data and stories on a dashboard

  • Research and deepen knowledge on police abolition and strategies for community care to implement/ use in Wauwatosa

• SEPT 2024 - Explore what we want to accomplish

  • Clearly speak to our greater ‘WHY” for sharing this data

  • Explore modality and how additional stories can be collected

  • Finalize our call to action, what we want community to do with this knowledge.

PHASE 3

• SEPT 2024 - Build out the format of the display

  • Website/ dashboard design

  • How to usher the public to this info

• OCT 2024 - Publish

  • Wrap any lingering activities
