So, the marketing needs quality product at reasonable price, and operations produce 'Quality product at lowest possible cost'.

Marketing understands 'what market wants?' and passes on to operations which in turn translates those requirements in 'Product Package' and supplies to the market

So, the operations function would be the ones to decide pricing, deliveries, new flavours while still maintaining the Starbucks image. The marketing would decide on how to gain and keep customers to buy the products.
