The lack of food and water is increasing the death rate of the human population. 
There are more than 7 billion people on Earth now, and roughly one in eight of us doesn't have enough to eat. 

As the population increases, the food supply, or the supply of another necessary resource, may decrease. When necessary resources, such as food, decrease, some individuals will die. Overall, the population cannot reproduce at the same rate, so the birth rates drop.
We can increase the lifespan of humans by being responsible with the resources we have. We can take shorter showers, preserve food, and start recycling bottles and paper.

1. Currently the industrialization is helping us because it helps make life easier. However eventually it will pollute the earth and it limits our resources.
