This seems similar to Wikipedia, just on a much smaller scale. This activity has not been very effective yet, because the students do not complete the course at the same time, and the activity does not count formal mark. Students being students, not many partake in the activity. But I can definitely see the implementation of this into my language classrooms. For example, students need to prepare for a session, and before I present my teaching moment, the students need to do their own research and add it to a page (like Wikipedia). If a student(s) made a mistake, another one can rectify it. So they are write news for the "world", not just for the lecturer. Well, a smaller world, their audience are local community members and other students. If the context has the necessary resources, everything can be done. The Videos will take longer than Tests and Quizzes. The subjects also need to be taken into consideration. Tests and Quizzes might not be as applicable to Maths when compared to Languages.
