When I started looking in the YouTube channel Ted talks, I hoped to find a conference about how to change the mindset in some way, so I chose the video of Guy Winch titled How to Practice emotional hygiene.

The presenter in this video talking about that humans we only worry about physical health but we don’t put attention to mental health, psychologist Guy Winch talks about some feelings that damage our minds such as loneliness, failure and rejection. He said that all these feelings make us negative people so we are not happy, we have low self-esteem and we do not overcome some situations for fear that we will happen again. The psychologist explained that all these feelings felt him in some part of his life but that he understood that to worried about superficial things that were practically only in his mind, Winch took as an example the case of his twin brother, that during a Strong cancer that he was always positive and happy, he just thought of recovering and be with his family The presenter gave some advice to make an emotional hygiene for example to think positively, to be risky and to leave aside the bad moments and just think of the happy moments therefore if we don’t pay attention to our mental health we could suffer from depression

I think the presenter had several strengths during his lecture, he was sure also explained well the topic because he felt identified, also I think he was dynamic, funny and authentic. Finally I think it is a topic that makes us reflect and think if in fact the things that make us feel bad are important or are just whims.
