-Don't receive "pity" from peers for who they are
-could potentially have specialists/more strategies
-would be there for a longer period of time, and maintain a teacher that could have a better understanding of them
-a community for the parents to relate too (support group)
Cons:
-less inclusion
-you are not with the same age peers that are without a disability
-don't have opportunities for extra curriculars like they would at an inclusive setting
-such a shielded environment-does not portray the real world
