-Bill was a keen reader and spent a lot of time reading from an early age. This worried the parents of Gates because they thought he was going to be a loner in School. At the age of 13 Bill's Parents enrolled him into Seattle's exclusive Lakeside School. This is where Bill found his love for machines. At Lakeside School a Seattle Computer Company offered to supply free computers for the Children. Gates was hooked. He spent all the spare time he had in the Computer Lab and created a Tic Tac Toe game for all the children to use. 
- This was also where Bill met his future business Partner Paul Allen. Gates and Paul were the best of friends. But there always was arguments between them because of creative differences.  
- He attended Harvard University and he learnt how use a computer programming language called "BASIC". -After Gates had enrolled in Harvard for a law degree he found himself spending more time in the Computer lab rather than in the library. During all this time Bill was still in contact with his High School best friend and soon to be business partner Paul Allen. Around this time Allen showed Gates a popular tech Magazine called "Popular Electronics Magazine" and in that magazine was something that captivated the young minds of Allen and Gates. And that thing was an Altair 8800 mini Computer kit. they were blown away at how much potential this piece of tech could have in the world of personal computing. After the had found out about this company Gates and Allen got in touch with them and explained about how they were working on a BASIC software program that would run on the Altair. In reality they both did not own the machine itself, but that certainly wasn't going to stop them. After spending almost two whole months stuck in a computer lab they had finished a working prototype. It worked perfectly. Soon after that Allen was hired by Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems (MITS) and Gates Followed suit. shortly after that by dropping out of Harvard and followed Allen. Gates and Allen formed a partnership agreement in 1975 they called "Micro-Soft".
