It was very interesting to learn that prolactin is used to produce milk. The second video was very uncomfortable to watch, but I learned that scientists will take risks to make new discoveries. Dr. Karl P. Schmidt could have gone to a hospital, but he wanted to understand how the snake bite would affect him.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Some people cannot maintain the level of insulin needed to maintain homeostasis in levels of blood glucose, this known as type I diabetes.&nbsp; Boomslang venom&nbsp; causes the victim's body to form a plethora of blood clots, thus resulting in the victim not having enough of its clotting ability to stop bleeding, this is called Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first video was essentially showing how crucial homeostasis is to survival, and how many different things your body are regulated. The video showed how one can't survive without the body regulating all of these things. Some example of stuff your body regulates are temperature and glucose level.<br>The second video was interesting and my main take away from it was that boomslang venom is very killer because it effects your bodys ability to undergo homeostasis by messing with your bodies ability to make blood clots.</div>]]></description>

Some examples included the kidney and its functions.&nbsp;<br>In the second video, the herpetologist understood that when he was bitten by a venomous African snake, he would not be able to receive an antidote. Because of this, he detailed his experience in a diary. His diary allowed for greater understanding of the boomerang venom. </div>]]></description>
