Patricia Stevens is a nurse who was scared when her twins were born and at that moment she only wanted to see her dog. She got excited when her dog ran up to her outside the hospital entrance and said this was better than any medication. In recent years we have seen how animals can reassure, calm and motivate patients. Lea Ann Matura, a nurse, remembers when a dog visited one of her cancer patients: she didn't speak or get up, but after seeing her dog she was happy and talked; she was like she was a different person. Honestly, I'm still a little perplexed about where I would like to go to work because I have some ideas, but I still have to think carefully. The first idea is to specialize in instrument nurse or even anesthesia nurse and go to work, if possible, in a cardiac surgery operating room. The second idea would be to become a military nurse or in any case a nurse in the police force, but the process is a little more difficult since I first have to enter through a competition and go through the whole process to become a soldier or policewoman . I hope that mine will be a good career, obviously made up of ups and downs like all the others, but more ups than downs. Among the different tutors I had in the various departments where I did my internship, I would like to talk about the tutor I had in UTIC, Claudio. As soon as you start your internship, it is usually difficult to settle into a new department, especially for the first few days, but with Claudio and the other nurses on shift it was much easier. At the beginning they didn't trust me that much because they didn't know me well yet, but as the days went by I started to have more and more independence until they entrusted me with the patients. I got to the point of managing 2/3 patients per shift and, before the end of the internship, I had become autonomous. Claudio was an exceptional tutor, not only because he helped me to be more indipendent, but also because he taught me and showed me many things and I could never thank him enough.
