My name is Stephanie Olson. I am in my 9th year of teaching in the Forest Lake School District. I spent 3 years as a reading and math interventionist, 1 year in kindergarten and the past 5 years have been in first grade. I recently was told that next year I am moving to third grade. I just started semester 2 of my Masters Program. I am apart of the Minneapolis Blended 7 Cohort and will graduate in May.

My name is Amanda Vinzant. I am in my 6th year of teaching in the Forest Lake School District, at Wyoming Elementary School. I am currently teaching 5th grade and have spent all 6 years in 5th grade. I recently found out I will be moving to 4th grade next year and am excited to continue growing and learning something new. I will be able to use what I know from 5th grade to prepare them for 4th grade. 
I just started my second semesters or my Masters Program. I am part of the MB7 cohort and will graduate next May. I graduated from St. Mary's University, Winona Campus with my undergrad degree in education and am excited to be doing my Masters program through St. Mary's as well! 
In my free time I enjoy playing softball  (I have played for the past 25+ years!). I am a huge Twins fan and try to make it to TARGET Field as much as I can. I  am a big Green Bay Packer football fan. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends!

In the past ten years, I have taught four grade levels (K, 1, 3, and 4), moved into six classrooms, in two different districts. In 2016, I decided to pursue a teaching position in the Hutchinson district to be a little closer to home. I currently teach third grade and absolutely love this age of students. 

The need for social emotional learning is becoming so critical, which is why I am excited to take this class. I earned my Master's Degree in 2013 and there was very little emphasis on SEL then.
