My name is Sam Andrei Bacus, my birthday is on the 8th of February. I am the only child of my parents. I have two cats, Juju (gray one) and Nana (white one). I also have a girlfriend, I've been dating for quite some time now. I am an academic achiever, I play badminton, and I used to train for swimming.

These are some of the media I consume that involves quite a lot of reading. I've always loved reading, I have book sets here at home but I stopped collecting books since I do not have the space or the shelves I need to store them. So most of the reading I do is just online, like PDFs, e-books and such.

Movies and Shows

I like to watch a lot of movies and I am involved in critiquing films in an application where lots of people do so, along with my friends. For shows, I like to watch them with my friends or with my girlfriend, since it'd be more enjoyable to do so. I do the same for movies also. For both, I even track down the list of movies and shows I've consumed, as well make notes about what I thought of what I watched; all of these are done easily as I also have an application I use for that.

I like to bond with my friends and spend some quality time by doing work together, or just hangout, watch something, talk about anything, play games, eat out, and anything else that friends do.

Most of the time, after school or whenever I'm just home, I spend lots of time with my girlfriend on the phone since we're doing long distance. We spend our time together mostly doing school related work, or by playing online games, or to consume media together like shows or movies.

I actually do not have social media, I only have Messenger as my primary mode of communication. I do have Facebook or Instagram for the purpose of communicating with others, I do not use it at all as a form of entertainment, so I rarely open them I only have them for my accounts.

I am a huge music lover. I am also musically inclined since I do learn instruments like drums or piano online, while I play and practice a lot on my guitar since it's what I have.

Reading books or webtoons, watching shows or movies, and listening to my favorite songs, playing video games, have always been a part of me. These are things I've developed a liking for since I like learning and broadening my perspective on various aspects. I don't really like participating in social media since I'm not into socializing that much, and I prefer socializing with my peers physically, I also think that most parts of social media can be a little draining since there are posts that are negative and inclined to toxicity. Hence, why I stick on consuming media I only like and that I find to be healthy.

How does the media I consume affect me?

As I have mentioned above, to read, watch movies or shows, listening to music, and playing video games, can be educational and can help in broadening my perspective in various aspects. Some of what I learned can be very much applicable in real-life and sometimes it even helps me figure things out when I'm facing challenges. With the way I moderately consume my media, I think it's healthy since I mostly focus in consuming them not just for entertainment but to also learn. I also healthily consume media in a way that I don't spend much time facing screens, as I do allocate time for myself that don't involve tech devices. To conclude, the way I consume my media not only helps me develop my physical skills and abilities, they also improve how I think logically, as well as improving my character.
