From a national perspective, green is highly symbolic within all of the country's primary religions. In Islam, the country's majority religion at 94% percent of the population, the green of both the first stripe and the star represent the colour of the Prophet.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Youssou N'Dour</strong>&nbsp;( born 1 October 1959) is a Senegalese singer, percussionist, songwriter, composer, occasional actor, businessman and a politician. In 2004,&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_Stone"><em>Rolling Stone</em></a>&nbsp;described him as, "perhaps the most famous singer alive" in Senegal and much of Africa. The kind(genre) of music which sings youssou is the"MBALAX". From April 2012 to October 2012, he was Senegal's Minister of Tourism and Culture, and from October 2012 to September 2013, he was Senegal's Minister of Tourism and Leisure.</div>]]></description>

Beautiful gold, silver, and bronze jewelry are exquisitely crafted. Antique beads and large amber necklaces, traditionally worn by the Fulani women, can be found in the markets and antique shops.&nbsp;<br>The Blacksmiths constitute the socio-professional group that made the tools, the jewelries, and other materials, using steel, iron, gold, and other metals.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tieboudienne&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1">Tiéboudienne</a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ceebu_J%C3%ABn&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1">Ceebu Jën</a>: The literal English translation of the dish is “The Rice of Fish”. Dubbed as the national dish of Senegal, it consists of flavoursome fish that has been marinated with parsley, lemon, garlic, onions (and other herbs), and then later cooked with tomato paste and a variety of vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage, and carrots. Rice is later added to the mix giving it a reddish look. It is said to resemble the Spanish dish&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paella">paella</a>, from the region of Valencia.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Religion and beliefs occupy an important place in the daily life of the nation of&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senegal">Senegal</a>. A large majority (92%) of the Senegalese population is Muslim, mainly&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunni_Islam">Sunni</a>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maliki">Maliki</a>&nbsp;school of&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jurisprudence">jurisprudence</a>&nbsp;with&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sufi">Sufi</a>&nbsp;influences. Christians (principally Catholics) represent 7%. Traditional beliefs are officially practiced by 1% of the population, but members of other religions also often partake in traditional practices.</div>]]></description>
