📚 1. Reading Texts

The reading materials will be prepared by Sabah State Library.

You’ll pick a number when you register — that number will match a surprise reading text!

You’ll only get your reading text when it’s your turn to read.

🏫 2. Who Can Join?

Only 10 primary schoolers (Aged 10 - 12) can join the competition.

Each school can send students under one group category only.

⏱️ 3. Time to Read

You’ll have 3 to 5 minutes to read your story out loud.

🧑‍⚖️ 4. How You’ll Be Judged

The judges will look at:

How clear and correct your pronunciation is

How smooth and confident you read

Your tone and expression (don’t sound too flat!)

Your timing

Your presentation style (bring the story to life!)

❌ 5. Be Respectful

Don’t do anything that might disturb others or make the event look bad.

⚠️ 6. If Rules Are Broken

If you break the rules, you might lose points or not be allowed to read.

🏆 7. Judges’ Decision

The judges' scores are final — no arguments, please!

If there’s a problem, your teacher can write to the organisers after the results.

They are fiction stories (fun and make-believe!).
