As a 21st Century Learner and student of MIPSS, I am a person who enjoys communication.

I'm a good communicator because I can clearly share my thoughts and feelings. I listen to others and speak with respect and for me, I think that communication is very important, because it helps us express our thoughts, feelings, and ideas clearly. It allows us to understand others and be understood by others. 21st Century Skills can help me develop my confidence and solve problems by thinking clearly and communicating with others.

Among these skills, I think I need to develop Creativity, Media, and Initiative. These help us express our ideas and take action without always being told. These skills make us stand out, solve problems better, and keep up with the world today. I think I lack them now because I doubt myself, avoid trying new things, and wait for others to lead. I can fix my lack of creativity by trying new things, not being afraid to make mistakes. To improve my media skills, I can explore helpful apps, watch educational videos, and practice creating posters, videos, or slides. I can develop initiative by starting small, setting daily goals, and taking action without waiting for someone to tell me what to do.

I see myself as a quite creative and flexible learner. Growing up, I was constantly given books and crayons, falling asleep in our home library. Through the prolonged exposure to literary works and the freedom to express myself, I quickly realized that no matter how unique and different the main characters on paper, etched in ink, were made out to be in their universes, I would never be able to emulate that one-of-a-kind facet that they were—so I pushed myself to be creative, to think outside of the box. Through this, the other 21st Century skills followed in becoming a vital part of my life. The Learning Skills could greatly put me at an advantage when it comes to my daily academic life, the Literacy Skills could help when it comes to digesting information and details, while the Life Skills can help me to adapt to new situations, set goals, and connect with others. The 21st Century Skills I still need to improve include COLLABORATION, TECHNOLOGY LITERACY, and SOCIAL SKILLS.

Collaboration and Social Skills are similar in the sense that they both communicate and interact with others. The reason I need to develop and improve these skills is because I find myself to be socially inept and closed-off at times. Not on purpose, but I simply struggle to find the right time to voice my thoughts.

I can resolve the lack of these skills through being more sociable and outspoken. Finally, in regards to Technology Literacy, the reason I struggle with it is because there are constantly new forms of technology being broadcasted and released to the masses, yet struggling does not equal to inability. I will simply push myself to adapt in the current era—the modern era, fitting in with the use of the 21st Century Skills.

I believe that the 21st century skills can help me grow more—not just my present self, but how I'll present myself in the future. I already know what I'll be pursuing—so these skills can prepare me for the future. These can help me equip the skills needed for the job that I want. It also helps me with my everyday life. Take for an example, one of the life skills; social skills. I talk to a lot of people everyday. Without my social skills, I don't know how would I be able to talk to someone without messing up. That's how helpful these skills are to me. But of course, not all of these skills I'm great at. When it comes to that, I think the skills that I really need to develop and improve would be COMMUNICATION, INITIATIVE, PRODUCTIVITY, and FLEXIBILITY skills.

Communication is something that I'm still not good with. Though I may know how to listen and speak, I still find myself sometimes being insensitive towards others. And yes—I know that. In truth, I'm quite afraid of criticism; I'm afraid of being confronted because I don't know what to expect. And it's something I should avoid doing so. As for initiative, I believe that I still lack the courage to speak up and take charge sometimes—like in class. I know the answer, but I can't get myself to raise my hand sometimes. As for productivity, I procrastinate. A lot. Which is why I can't get myself to do things on time usually. And in the end, I just mindlessly cram my way through and through. And lastly, for flexibility; I'm unable to adapt quickly. I still take quite some time to be able to adapt to things—If my plan goes out of track, I don't know what to do, and I'm scared of improvising. I get scared of shifting strategies because like what I've said before, I'm scared of the unexpected. Maybe by being morally consistent, by practicing clarity, by practicing discipline and exposing myself to more situations that can help me resolve these skills, I will be able to find these skills in me improved and continue to help me all throughout my life.

I have always found myself able to think critically when facing challenges, whether in academics or in everyday situations. I do not just accept things as they are. I look for reasons and think of possible solutions before coming to a decision. I also believe that my communication skills help me share my ideas and listen to others, especially when working in groups. I value collaboration because I know that I do not learn alone but I learn better when I hear other people's perspectives.

However, I am also aware that I still have many areas to develop. The skills I need to improve the most are CREATIVITY, PRODUCTIVITY, and SOCIAL SKILLS. Creativity is something I often struggle with. Coming up with unique ideas or thinking outside the box does not come naturally to me yet. Productivity is another challenge, mainly because I tend to procastinate, which affects my ability to manage my time well and finish tasks early. My social skills are also not my strongest point. I find it difficult to confidently connect with people, especially in unfamiliar situations, and this is something I need to improve.

Despite these challenges, I remind myself that the true essence of being a 21st century learner is having the willingness to grow and adapt. I believe that working on my weaknesses will help me continue to grow to someone ready to face a changing world. I am confident that I can continue to develop the skills I need to survive and succeed as a 21st century learner.

In a world of growing isolation and uncertainty; where people tend to keep to themselves, I believe collaboration can be implemented--even amongst these challenges. Applying these skills is necessary because these are what's gonna define the standard of future generations. As technology and media evolve with haste, so too should society.

I'll admit, I'm not the best at initiating these connections, and I may not fully encompass all the ideas of the 21st-century skills, but I believe that with time, and with the help of Sir Emil and my other teachers, I can learn to improve my social skills, refine my media literacy, and apply critical thinking skills in different situations and fully embody the skills and tools needed for our advancement as a society.

Inside the classroom where collaboration is formed also critical thinking as a student i am able to learn and apply the 21st century in my life as a student. Also being able to apply the 21st century in real life. In life critical thinking allows me to understand more about everything, understanding things and also exploring new things in our generation today.

As a student it is very helpful because i am able to learn new things and adapt to new things or situations in life. Communication helps me tell my ideas to other. I think i still need to develop is my leadershipocial skills as a part of st.john a famous and also a star section i want to improve may leadership so that my team will be the top or be recognized by the class teacher. I also want to improve my social skills because i times be

a nonchalant person with other im also scared to share my ideas with other because i always think that they will disregard my ideas. Now that im in st.john i need to improve these to gain my confidence and may help others. As a 21st century student i am ready to learn new things.

These 21st century skills are going to be useful in my life, not just today but also in the future, these kind of skills help prepare me for the real world. Having the ability to solve problems and working with different people as well as figuring out if information online is even true, that is all the stuff I need whether I am still in school or working a job in the future. I also need to be good at reading, understanding, and using information whether its from a book or social media so that I am prepared for whatever comes next.

I definitely think I still need to develop and Improve my critical thinking skills a lot. Right now, I am really good at memorizing the lessons for tests, but when it comes to really thinking deeply about a certain topic, I get stuck. I need to get better at breaking down problems and finding complicated solutions instead of just looking for the easy answer. I think I really need to work on how I handle real-life stuff, like when things do not go as planned. It’s not just about critical thinking for school, but also for dealing with everyday challenges, being adaptable when things change, and figuring out how to get things done even if it's confusing.

While i also have my initiative nature, which helps me seek out learning opportunities and take ownership of my educational journey, it also helps me improve my social skills to take the initiative to talk to someone when they feel lonely. I am adept at navigating the vast landscape of information, critically evaluating various forms of media, and effectively communicating my ideas across diverse platforms.

Furthermore, my comfort with and ability to leverage technology empower me to access resources, collaborate with peers, and present information in dynamic ways, ensuring I am well-equipped for an increasingly digital world. Beyond technical skills, my developed social skills enable me to work effectively in teams, engage in meaningful discussions, and build strong relationships, all of which are crucial for collaborative learning and future professional success.

It is also one of my favorite 21st Century Skills, though i may have the times to be more silent than socializing, but if you get to talk to me, i won't be able to stop to get to knowing you. Because i also love to talk to people and speak with my mind, i may come of as harsh or rude, but i sometimes am genuinely honest. These Skills has helped me become a better person, and have new changes, even though i may still have the mind of a young person, i can easily adapt and change in many ways while still keeping my childish acts, but to a limit.

But i also need improvements. I sometimes think to myself that should i be worthy in St. John? I'm not much of a motivated person, If i say so myself. To be honest with you, i'm more of a lazy person, and i have these bad habits. But with the 21st Century Skills, i can see that i have the future to become more better and better. I want to improve my CRITICAL THINKING, COLLABORATION, COMMUNICATION, PRODUCTIVITY, AND LEADERSHIP.

I see that i lack these skills i and i want to improve myself, especially Productivity and Critical thinking. Sometimes i have these skills, but i want to master it, with such mastery, i don't have to worry about my future, and just think of my passion go be a Scientist.

I lack Critical Thinking because i tend to focus on the first solution of a task instead of trying to find more solutions to a situation, or explore various of options, not settling for less. I also think i lack the ability to think first before speaking, because whenever i speak my mind, i always jump into conclusions or any anecdotal evidence without even thinking and supporting my argument with facts.

I also see that i lack Collaboration due to being set on being independent. I always rely on myself and myself only, when i have a task to do, i only do it myself because i sometimes don't like what others think about my suggestions or what i want this or that to be.

I mostly lack Productivity, due to being accustomed to my gadget, i tend to forget the time, and never be productive. I want to learn how to be productive than to have the habit of saying "i'll do this later". I want to improve that more than anything else.

But with a positive mindset, i will have the chance to improve myself, making my life better and once i improved, i can become a role model for others, and encourage them to make the right choices, and also teach them the 21st Century Skills.

Studying is not just books, it is alaso how I interact with others. It helps me have the knowledge to know about the things I want to know, which prepares me for the future. But sometimes, I need to take a break to put my mind at ease, that is where my guitar comes in. Playing with it express how I feel and improve myself as a student.

These skills help me work better with my classmates, express my ideas, and understand my lessons more deeply. I also use them outside the classroom when managing my time, using technology, or solving everyday problems.

As a Marian, I follow values like faithness, discipline, and respectful. These guide me in using my skills with kindness and purpose. With 21st-century skills and Marian values, I am growing to be a better student and a better person.

These skills are extremely essential for me to develop because they helped me become more prepared for the real-world challenges I would face in the future, and they are also useful because they are able to help me navigate both my personal life and academic journey. In school, these skills allow me to think critically about the things that I am learning and allow me to collaborate with my fellow classmates effectively. Outside of my school life, these skills help me to make informed decisions, by making me more informed about the technological and societal changes, developing my ability to adapt to any given situation. And these skills are not only helpful for me at the present moment, but they are extremely crucial for my future career and life in a fast and ever-changing world.

Among all those skills, I still need to further develop my CRITICAL THINKING. There were times where I would accept some information at face value and believe it without even a second glance, and I can hopefully work on this flaw of mine by asking myself more thought-provoking questions and exploring and hearing out both sides of an issue. Another skill I need to work on is INFORMATION LITERACY, because even though I often use the internet, I sometimes fall victim to fake news articles. I don’t always evaluate how reliable the sources are or how relevant the topic is.  To improve on this, I plan to develop my ability to assess the credibility of sources and be able to distinguish between facts and opinions, and make sure that I am using up-to-date and accurate information in my school work and daily life. Last skill I need to develop is PRODUCTIVITY, since more often than not, I often struggle to stay organized and balance my school work alongside my personal life and other responsibilities. To resolve this issue, I can start using calendars, planners, and to-do lists to keep myself and my school work organized, I can also break my tasks down into more small and easy steps. By continuing to strengthen these skills and work on my weaknesses, I believe I can grow into a more capable and adaptable person, ready to succeed in both school and the ever-changing world around us.

The most important skills for me is communication, technology, and flexibility. I believe these skills are factors for us teenagers in the VUCADD world. Communication is my most important skill, It helps us speak up for ourself for what we know. Having a proper communication can lead to our planned goals. As of technology, we live in an advanced world where we use technology as a helping-hand in our daily lives. In the use of technology, we are able to make our lives more comfortable and faster use. And lastly, Flexibility teaches us to be more open-minded to things we aren't familiar or experienced with. Being able to be flexible helps us to explore new things to unknown.  Practicing these skills helps me become more confident, flexible, and prepared for the future. They are not just tools for success but essential habits for living a meaningful life in the 21st century.

What skills do we really need to succeed in today’s world?

I see myself as a curious learner and an open-minded student, but sometimes I know I still lack some important 21st-century skills. This made me think: how can I be responsible and ready for the future without these skills?

Just like Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, where living things change over time to survive, I also need to adapt to new challenges and changes in Grade 10. There will be harder lessons and more responsibilities. By adjusting my study habits, managing my time better, I believe I can succeed and grow, just like how animals and plants adapt to thrive in their environment. The category I chose is Learning, because I need to improve my critical thinking so I can understand lessons better instead of just memorizing them. Critical thinking means looking at information carefully, asking questions, and thinking about why something is true or false. It also means comparing different ideas and finding the best solution to a problem. I can practice this by solving puzzles, asking more questions in class, and thinking about the results of different choices.

As a 21st Century student I am seeing myself starting to develop, slowly completing and utilize all of the (4Cs) in the classroom.

Critcal Thinking- Trying to think of solutions to problems that i encounter not only in my class but also in the real world.

Creativity- Trying to use and create something new and never seen before by using scraps as a tool for art

Collaborate- I try to create and enviroment where we all think and team up when to answer the porblem that has been given to us.

Communication- I try to talk and listens to others opinions and give out myself words that encourge fellowship between my classmates and teachers.

Not only the (4Cs) but also how i try to understand and make use of my literacy skills.

For me the Life skills are the necessary skills needed a... like Flexibility, Leadership, Initiative, Productivity and my Social skills.

Because im not perfect, I need to work upon my CREATIVITY, MEDIA and LEADERSHIP. I might be smart but im simple minded so i mostly think of simple solutions not what is beyond it, I still fail to compherend how to fully use social media and I still fear taking the first step which is hindering my courage to step up as a leader and try to lead others.

The ways that i can think of to resolve these skills I lack is try to think more outside the box and find what is more to it.

I also need to fully embody what is given to me and give full use to it's fullest potential and, Lastly i need to step up and show that i am someone that is capable of leading a group. I can only hope that will keep improving on these skills which each day time passes.

However, I am aware of the areas where I have to improve, for instance, leadership, taking the initiative, and social skills. Leadership is difficult for me since the pressure and the level of responsibility are high. It is also difficult for me to take the initiative to initiate conversations even among acquaintances. However, I believe I can work on the skills and improve them through diligence and the support of my classmates and my adviser.
