https://padlet.com/cchang102/cpw7hyj7kyci8zr1 My thoughts and reflections of The Last Poets by Christine Otten. en-us 2021-08-23 19:07:38 UTC 2021-08-25 02:33:44 UTC hello@padlet.com cchang102 https://padlet.com/cchang102/cpw7hyj7kyci8zr1/wish/1691945286 My name is Cheryl and I'm an English major!  It's really ironic how I chose to be an English major when I'm not too fond of reading.  I decided to take this major because of a certain program: TESOL.  This is a program that certifies you to be able to teach English to speakers of another language.  After being certified, I plan to go abroad towards the eastern parts of Asia.  I want to go to Asia because I really love the Asian cultures and lifestyle there. 

Although I don't really like to read books, I do enjoy reading Japanese and Korean comics (mangas and webtoons).  I also enjoy spending my spare time staying home and watching Eastern and Southeastern Asian movies and tv shows.  I'm also a supernatural horror movie fan.  Some of my all time favorites are Shutter (2004), The Conjuring Universe Series, and The Sixth Sense.

Through this course, we will be learning how to find the elements from The Last Poets and how the author, Christine Otten, uses these elements to convey a message to us, the readers.  I will be looking forward how the story goes and what we will be taking away from Otten's message by the end of the course.  I'm also really looking forward to getting to know my classmates and their thoughts through these little blogs and reflections.  Let's have a safe and fun semester together!]]> 2021-08-23 20:12:26 UTC https://padlet.com/cchang102/cpw7hyj7kyci8zr1/wish/1691945286
