This can lead to some of the most successful influencers earning millions of pounds via platforms like Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. 


There are a number of successful stories of influencers who have changed their lives by taking a risk and investing their time in this growing industry. Equally, there are stories of those who have fallen victim to its wide range of dangers and risks. The impact of influencer culture can affect the mental health of its beneficiaries and followers, generate negative perceptions in the media, and ultimately lead to some outcomes which have left people worse off than before.

This week's edition focuses on the world of game design - an industry which continues to grow exponentially. Video games are more popular than every, and technology continues to expand the boundaries of what is possible. Modern games are incredibly realistic and immersive, and behind each game is an incredible team of professionals who range from programming and coding, to story building and visual art.

Game design can be studied in a range of academic institutions, but can also be experienced via apprenticeships. It is perfectly suited to people who are creative and have a love of gaming, but also offers great earning potential for those who are more technologically inclined, and want to focus more on the coding side of things.
