Our body reacts and adapts to change. One way the body adapts to change is how it reacts to calorie consumption. If the body eats too many calories it starts to gain weight because any excess energy that you get from food gets stored in your fat until you burn it off, thus gaining weight. The exact opposite happens if you are malnourished. If you don’t eat enough then you lose more energy than you gain and you start to lose the fat and thus lose weight. I found this on page 7. Another way is how it reacts to cholesterol. On page 18 it says that there are 2 types of cholesterol. LDL and HDL. LDL is bad cholesterol that can clog your arteries. HDL is essentially the opposite and can prevent clogging. Another way your body adapts to change is through exercise. On page 17 it’s said how exercise gives you a longer lifespan. This happens because exercise bolsters your immune system and helps it work. With a better immune response, you are bound to live longer. Another way is that exercise lets out steam. This is because exercise lets you run and get any anger out. Let’s say that you are really mad since your older cousin pushed you off the swing, you can burn it off by exercising. These are all ways the body is affected by change.

The body adapts to changes in many different ways. For example high altitude, calories, and sleep. Using the staying healthy article I was able to find many different reasons on how the body adapts to change.
Sleep, a very important factor in teens and young adults. Performance is a key factor in doing well in work or school. When you get little to no sleep this can be very challenging into how well you do in school. Study shows that most students do well when they get the recommended 9 hours of sleep. Most teens get 7 or less. When you don,t get a good amount of sleep your body becomes a walking zombie. Your body adapts because you are basically going from a healthy sleep schedule to sleep-deprived. Your body changes the way you act based on the amount of sleep you’re getting.
High altitude is also a key factor on how your body changes and adapts. For mountain climbers, it can cause your body to go into preservation mode. You start to not want to eat and you get tired a lot easier because of this. This can also make you pretty nauseous. Your body tries its best to keep you safe but for climbers, it just makes it harder for you to do basically anything.

Last and finally least calories. Your body adapts by making or letting you lose/gain weight based on how much calories you’re eating. The fewer calories you eat the less weight you gain but can lead to you losing weight. This same phrase goes vice-versa. If you eat too much you might end up gaining weight.
These are just some of the examples that could be used to provide reasoning behind how the body adapts.

The first way the human body adapts to the environment is when you climb a mountain. The body doesn't have air so far up so it adapts by having you suffocate if you don't have an air tank. The second way the human body adapts to things is when you start exercising. The adaptation is that your body gets slimmer. This happens because the body is moving and burning calories and fat. The last adaptation is calories. The body adapts to calories by when you eat a little calories the human body gets slimmer and loses calories. Also if you eat a lot of calories you will start to gain weight and fat. The end.

Mountain climbing is a serious adaptation the body has to get. It requires a lot of endurance and muscle. Especially in your legs and arms because that’s the main thing you use to climb mountains. Yes of course you will get tired. It’s not expected to be done in a day anyways, but your body still has to adapt to the changes that are being made to your body as you climb a mountain. Of course it won’t be easy climbing because it takes a lot but that’s only because your body hasn’t adapted to climbing yet. This is why mountain climbers train so that their bodies can be used to using the muscles they use to climb. So next time you want to climb a mountain and your feeling extra exhausted and pain because you haven’t did it in a while, that’s because your body hasn’t adapted just yet.

There are many situations in which the body has to adapt to the area around it in different ways.It has to adapt to how some people gain calories, deal with lyme disease, and how people have to adjust to mountain air and diets.Sumo wrestlers have to do a lot of work to gain their shape. They have to skip breakfast, exercise in the morning and only so they can eat a ginormous lunch and take a nap at noon. This is done just to have the sumo shape that they have.Next, Paloma Herrara -Thomas had to adapt to having lyme disease. She could still do the activities she did before, but she had to be careful.Paloma could go horseback riding, but when the horse pulled away it hurt her fingers. She liked singing, being in plays, climbing trees and latin dancing too but dancing would sometimes hurt her ankles.Paloma also had to take medicine a lot for lymes. There are also times when mountains can cause you to adapt to your surroundings.Melissa Arnot has to adapt to mountain air with special breathing patterns. Plus she had to eat things like lean fish and veggies. In the end ,no matter what you are doing, your body will always adapt to what you are doing.

The body adapts to change in many ways. One way the body adapts to change is by exercising. If the body exercises then it will lose calories and weight and be healthier. Another way the body adapts to change is by eating a different amount of calories depending on the situation. If you have too many calories you may be obese and need to eat less calories, on the other hand if you are too light you may need to eat a greater amount of calories. Finally your body can adapt to change by laughing. If your cholesterol isn't good then laughing will help, studies show that good cholesterol increases by 26 percent in the patients who watched comedians. That was 3 ways your body can adapt.
