It was written by Banana Yoshimoto, a famous writer in Japan.
The novel has 2 stories: Kitchen I & II and Moonlight which are all about love, death, pain and the will of living of characters.
The first story turns around Mikage Sakurai, a girl immensely loves kitchen. After her grandmother's death, she was left alone. Then she luckily met Yuchi Tanabe whom invited her to come to live with him and his mother. From here open a new life of them. In this story, i really like Eriko, Yuchi Tanabe's mother. She is a special and important character that makes a conection between Mikage and Yuchi.
The second story told about 2 girls: Satsuki and Urara. After Hitoshi, Satsuki's boyfriend passed away, she felt wretched. She tried to live more positively by jogging. Then she met Urara, a strange girl and the mystery story began from here. This story made me go jogging after that. 
I extremely love style writer of Banana Yoshimoto. The feelings of emotion along with the images become harmonious and poetic. It consists of 3 parts: packing -checklist,  in the lounge, on the runway. This book is a compilation of articles posted on Tony Morning fanpage. Tony's stories are lively, practical and humorous, but they help us cope with challenges, difficulties in working, attitude to learning, expanding knowledge, etc.  After reading this book, I can learn from him patience, diligence, communication skill, social relationship. His book inspire me to arrage my time, learn for new things, even table manner to have a good health.  He writes many various kinds such as short stories, long stories, poems... A lot of books which written by Nguyen Nhat Anh are best-sellers such as "The girl from yesterday", "Give me a ticket to chilhood"... I'm particularly interested in his book named "I see yellow flowers on the green grass". The story tells about daily emotions which are fully related to homeland, family and friends. The main characters are Thieu and Tuong's brothers with completely different personalities. Thieu and Tuong brothers immersed themselves in idyllic folk games and many childhood memories of the village children. The story also expands the relationship between the brotherhood and the villagers, including their relatives and classmates. The author has used simple words and understandable sentences containing extremely interesting and humorous stories. "I see yellow flowers on the green grass" is truly a true book, full of humanity and deep inside there are also meaningful lessons. When reading the story, we feel like we have been returned to our sweet childhood and of course we can regret that the happy time has passed. Whenever I'm sad, I often read it in order to reflect on the past and gain motivation for the future. To realize that being an adult is difficult and tiring, but we have no way to refuse. We can only try harder in the future. The past is still beautiful memories and look at your childhood and strive to improve.
