Not every white person liked slavery there were those who were against it and fought to end slavery and make black people rights equal to all man kind. There were some black people weren't slaves at all and were free to live their life the way they wanted too until they went into a certain area and there was a poster of a black person hanging on a tree that looked just like them. Another thing about the KKK is that they didn't like black people and they would kill them by burning their bodies.
