He was born in London on April 16, 1889.
He could only go to school for a short time due to his poor financial situation.
He went this way because his family was a theater player.
He began cinema in 1914 with the movie "Making a Living",Charlie played in many movies but became famous with the short fim  "Chorlat". [Şarlo]
Chorlat's character was loved in this short film with his hat,cane,big shoes and penguin walk.
After that he was called Charlot. Founded his own production company in 1918. He got an Oscar in the USA in 1972.
Charlie Chaplin died in his sleep on December 25, 1977, 5 years after settling in Switzerland.
