·      less one on one on one help from teachers and so forth less individual guidance

·      you can’t always learn what you don’t understand quickly or easily because you can’t have a face to face with someone who can explain it to you in a way you understand

·      no face to face conversations, no questions can be asked while watching the tutorial videos

·      Occasionally Team's freezes and I can't type, turn on my mic, or leave a meeting

·      Not as much one on one help, not as much interactions with peers which makes it less enjoyable, not enough explanations for work, it ends up being a lot of self-learning.

·      it is harder to ask questions since we aren't in a classroom and it’s easier to get distracted from home.

·      Staying on task, because you can do many things on your computer during lessons without your teacher knowing

·      I wish the collabs were longer as I struggled to just work things out on my own.

·      a lot of work, short times to study for a lesson, and more projects weekly

·      I don't get motivated a lot in home

·      Being inside most of the day and sometimes there’s more distractions at your house

·      Having to ask the teacher or a student a question through a device is a lot harder than asking in real life and getting an answer/response explained in person.

·      technological challenges, hard to stay focused or ask questions.

·      Less interaction with others, eg. the teacher for help, and other students for group collab work.

Teacher's Perspective:
·      The time spent in preparing lessons and content, marking quizzes and projects online, answering questions to students after class, and creating the video tutorials was a lot.

·      Summer Learning is already a fast pace when taught face-to-face and some students struggled with the fast pace plus the online component. 

·      Adapting lesson and work content for students with IEPs

·      Collaborating with colleagues and having four of us teaching the same course to bounce ideas off each other was crucial to the success of teaching this course 100% online.

·      We tried Flipped Learning and produced/compiled video tutorials for the whole course. If I were to teach this course, I would have a good amount of online teaching resources.

Students’ perspective (these responses are taken from a student survey I created): 

·      you are able to be more independent

·      it's more comfortable for introverts

·      There is more time to understand each new lesson at your own pace

·      makes people work in small groups of two or three, and learn to work with strangers.

·      I find it easy to use Microsoft Teams. It's good to have everything in one place, on one app.

·      sometimes it makes it less stressful than going to school and seeing everybody in person

·      we can manage ourselves in the ways that we prefer and set our own fluid schedules that work depending on our activities

·      we are at home so we don't have to wake up as early and we have all our supplies with us so we can't forget anything

·      Communicating with my teacher

·      it allows students to gain more knowledge of the course and understanding the concepts

·      when working by yourself you will not get distracted by the lesson the teacher is teaching

·      it gives you an opportunity to be more independent and learn how to manage your time as well as work around problems and try different things

·      More flexible work times, easier to create break times when needed.

·      Maybe the class could use cameras, so the teacher can tell if someone is distracted or not

·      I think it was well set up/organized

Teachers
·      Right now, I’m still digesting what we’ve done in the past month. However, I feel that I’ve learned a lot when it comes to online teaching and learning. I feel comfortable teaching online and I can help my colleagues within my department if we are to teach online again.

·      If I were to do Flipped Learning again, I would find a way to keep track  of students watching the video tutorials. Also, I would add questions throughout the  video tutorials to check for understanding and keep track of that as well.
