It made me smile when I looked out of the staffroom window and saw one of our pupils playing in the water at the raised bed. The member of staff with him was smiling and enjoying him being so happy at that moment. She also knows him well enough to stand back (to avoid getting soaked herself)!

Just heard someone passing my door making the trim trail sound like the greatest place on earth and getting the kids totally hyped about it. Love to see kids and staff having fun together <3

Somebody has a really good way with a child I taught last year. It is so nice to see him laughing with his peers and being supported so well by this caring adult!

It makes me smile to be part of a team that is so welcoming, where everyone is willing to help out wherever they asked! I feel part of the team and included in different things going on.

It made me smile to see how engaged and excited the children in p1 were today. They loved exploring the raised beds and investigating the mystery of the cat in the hat. I admire the P1 teachers and all they do for the little ones.

I heard someone talking to a 'tricky' pupil and having a restorative conversation. The adult handled the situation brilliantly - the child was made aware of how the school rules had been broken but was also aware that the member of staff was there to support and help. The whole interaction was really positive and great to see.

I had a great exchange with some of the door monitors this week. One conversation was about their current reading book (one of my faves) and it was nice to hear that they were enjoying it too. The second conversation was about helping people and also being kind, but fair when some of the younger children were taking the mick with trying to get inside! They are doing a great job. Somebody was very resourceful at the weekend and discovered/pinched some amazing loose parts for the younger pupils. It filled my heart with joy to see the engagement and exploration happening. I later saw some older pupils playing in similar way. Fun for everyone and this staff member took time out of their weekend to provide it. That is dedication!

when a child called me granny today , a fellow staff member reminded me that the child loves their granny very much and to take it as a compliment . Sharing the love is such a great thing to do

Everyone has been so wonderful about the news this week. It has really made me smile to know that everyone cares and is delighted for both myself and Jess. Shows how amazing our team is! You have all been wonderful!

I loved seeing all the wee ones outside in their new suits! Just the thing for enjoying the outdoors. Can we have one too?!

Even though the HT and SMT are very busy, they always stop for a chat. In some schools, the door would always be closed. Even if it is a quick "Hello" - and I know stopping in the middle of a task or email is not an easy thing! Thanks for everything you have done this term from the little things, like greeting me in the morning to the big things like keeping our school community safe.

When people check in to see how you are doing, makes you feel valued and part of a really lovely team. I really appreciate Clelland's count downs to the weekends, the holidays etc and the genuiness of him asking how your day has been....not just a conversation filler :)
