In my free time I love to travel (my favorites are cities or beaches), spend time with my family and friends, or go for walks in the woods with our dog.

My teaching and research focus on customer experience management, customer and patient satisfaction, social media and rating platforms (especially physician rating platforms), as well as business development.

I have practical experience in the areas of strategic and operational marketing, especially in the fields of content marketing, advertising and reputation and customer satisfaction management. Further, I'm a board member of the "Competence Circle Marketing," supporting marketing executives and employees to exchange ideas, learn from one another and find out about marketing innovations.

In my private life I am very family-oriented and enjoy taking vacations with my loved ones. I also love good music, which is why you can meet me at diverse concerts.

Initially, I studied German and Slavic studies, learned Russian/русский, English, Japanese/やまと, Ukrainian/Український and Czech/Česky, fell in love with Italian and Slovenian, and have always spoken German/Deutsch.

As a language and communication professor, my primary goals are to draw your attention to the linguistic diversity surrounding you, help you learn new languages, recognize your linguistic abilities, and help you apply these abilities and skills in the business context.

When I am not speaking, writing, reading, or listening, I am an enthusiastic bicyclist and theater patron.

Organizations are innovative and successful when employees feel comfortable, enjoy creative freedom, and see a purpose in their work. This requires good leadership on the one hand and the corresponding HR structures and processes on the other.

These topics - modern leadership, change management, strategic and operational HR management - are at the center of my work, research, and teaching. Based on more than 20 years of experience in businesses in the Carinthian industry, I can teach CUAS students about these topics in a practical manner.

When I am not busy with that, I like to visit concerts or to relax while listening to music - vinyl, of course. You can even look forward to some of my courses starting with fitting music.

My teaching and research focus on the following topics: new work & people management, new learning & corporate learning development, and diversity management. 

I love to teach (including online) and enjoy discussing and developing new solutions with students. Additionally, I like to try out new didactic concepts and approaches as stimulating impulses to promote learning and development. Together with my colleagues, I am honored to have founded and to still lead the "People Experience Community" (a network for HR and organization management), which supports Carinthian businesses in their exchange about future topics in human resources, learning together, and from one another.

In my private life I enjoy travelling with my husband and daughters (20 and 24 years old) or spending time in my vegetable garden (which has meditative and culinary benefits). My energy source is the peace and quiet I find in nature.

I believe that learning is not a one-way street. We learn best when we learn from each other and together with each other. That's why I try to create an interactive learning experience for my students which is (hopefully) at the same time intellectually stimulating, engaging, and fun.

I have faced a lot of (complex) problems myself in my various roles as a top manager in media companies, as entrepreneur, consultant, coach, researcher, and management teacher... and as a father of two wonderful children... and have luckily also been able to solve quite a few of them.

In my free time, I love reading and writing books (mainly those that could help my students solve problems again!), and last but not least, I also enjoy being a student myself (at the moment, I am immersing myself in historical studies).

My goal is to optimally prepare students for their future profession at the intersection of business and IT and to introduce them (or expand their knowledge) to the diverse topics of digital transformation in an active and practical way.

Another part of my life for many years are sports, especially triathlons. I've shared many wonderful experiences and successes with the team of the "FH Kärnten Sport" association.

I am especially interested in the possibilities of digitalization to react to current challenges, such as sustainability.

After many years as entrepreneur and business consultant with a focus on marketing and market research, I am happy to share my extensive know-how and experience with you.

In my free time, I prefer to spend time with my family in the south. One day I will spend the cold season (feels like October until April) at Lake Garda and teach my classes online from there ;-)

Preparing students for leadership positions in hospitality in the last few years has brought me much joy and been a privilege. Next to developing subject-specific and methodical knowledge, students undergo much personal development, which is vital in an industry where employees and guests have to be inspired.

In my teaching and research I focus on strategic and operative hotel and gastronomy management, especially in the areas of quality of service, digitalization, and marketing and optimization.

My love for quality food and drinks is reflected in my free time, where I explore them in the Alp-Adriatic Region. Of course, traveling, exploring culture and arts, exercising outdoors, and spending time with family and friends are also important to find balance.

As Italian native speaker and dedicated Italian language instructor at the CUAS School of Management, I'm happy to support my students of all levels in their Italian language&culture learning journey.

Convinced that languages create bridges between cultures&people and that hands on experiences work wonders, in my lessons I always try to make room for students' creativity and field trips outside the classroom.

Traineeship and working opportunities as Language trainer brought me from Italy to Western Australia, Austria and Poland, while my passion for travelling did the rest: Swedish

In my research, I specialise in the area of corporate and personal information management. My particular focus is on information literacy and digital teaching and learning. In this context, I am currently also working on the effects and possibilities of generative artificial intelligence. I am a board member of the Hochschulverband Informationswissenschaft and a member of the editorial board of the open access journal Open Information Science. I am a political scientist and legal scholar and head the Public Management degree programme. I enjoy discussing current political events with my students and working with them to analyse the historical and legal background as well as the significance for our society and our political system. A comparative perspective is always important to me.

My experience with the media and my enthusiasm for travelling help me to do this. Academically, I work on EU projects on social change and conduct research in the field of democracy.
