Mental health is not being taken seriously because many have no access to affordable treatments, therapy, reliable information, etc. There are not many people who are able to get any sort of treatment with their conditions, this could be due to denial, prices, or not being taken seriously.

Denial is an issue on why mental health is not being taken seriously. Many do not want to accept their condition and think they could do it all on their own until it becomes too much. They do not take their condition seriously and therefore it gets worse overtime without help.

Having a mental condition is not something that is taken very lightly, many are in denial of it, some fear what could come next, and some just don't understand it. Fear is an issue on why individuals are not able to get help.
