Padlet Instructions for Trainers

To give your team access to the same Padlet and let them all type on it simultaneously, follow these steps:

Open your Padlet: Log in to your Padlet account and open the board you want to share with your team.
Click on "Share": You’ll find this option on the top right corner of your Padlet board.
Adjust Privacy Settings: In the sharing options, you can adjust the privacy settings. Set the Padlet to "Secret" or "Public", depending on who you want to have access.
Enable Permissions: Under "Invite People" or "Share Link", you’ll see options to grant different permissions. Choose "Can Edit" to allow your team to add and edit posts.
Share the Link: Once permissions are set, you can copy the shareable link and send it to your team members. They can click the link and access the Padlet instantly.
Collaborate in Real-Time: Now your team can access the same Padlet and type on it at the same time.

These steps will ensure everyone can collaborate seamlessly on the same board!

Lesson Critique - What approaches did you see in the introductory to philosophy lesson? How does that relate to your material creation?

Outline - An outline was included to give the students a framework - This could be included and referenced in a task 2 or 3 essay. But basically an outline should be included in all of our class materials

Tam - Hook

What was the purpose of the hook?

The purpose is to connect students' previous knowledge or ideas with the lesson. (activating background schemata - this can be referenced) We set up some hooks in the beginning and maybe throughout the class to grab students' attention and speak their curiosity.

How do you use hooks?

At first, we set a few questions, but the outlines of the lesson turned into questions. (We presented information with questions - a good strategy in the EMI environment)

Then - We can ask abstract open-ended questions a few times to make them hear very well, and then we can split them into close questions. They can be in the form of multiple-choice questions. Also, we can show the photos or images of the lesson's content, ask students questions, and then navigate them to the answer.

Example: Sustainable tourism in Rio De Janeiro

Outline: How can tourism sustainability in Rio de Janeiro be improved?
Show a short video clip or images of contrasts of Rio - interesting sites vs crime.
Ask students what they see about different types?

Information Gap (Aaron)

Separate the subject ‘Philosophy’ into two Idealism and Realism.

For the Comparing tasks between these two items, there are Slide A and Slide B for students to discuss, write on white board, and switch members between A and B.

Moreover, Personalized to relate study subjects to students with different levels of agreement would also serve well among individuals as information gap.

Jou - Visual teaching - (your visual approach should be referenced in your essay)

Visuals- Allows students to associate with the word especially when they are learning in a second language. It can also be used to stimulate active learning through discussion while guiding them.

Task 2- Visuals were integrated to associate actions and procedures in CPR.

Task 3- Visuals were used in matching the picture with the word. Some pictures were similar to each other for students to discuss with each other and match the correct word to the image. - This is what you did but did you give your rationale as you were writing up tasks 2 and 3?

Stephen - Categorisation activities - this is a recognised task type - and can be referenced
