This was a little interesting at first because his family celebrates everything. My family only celebrated the big holidays like Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. I would cook with my grandparents and my parents. We made pies, cookies, and Thanksgiving dinner. My grandfather was a chief. That is were we as a family bonded. That is also how my husbands family bonded. He did a lot of cooking with his family growing up. We spend lots of time teaching our kids to cook and are passing along family recipes that we love. We make a lot of Spanish and Italian dishes. However, my husband was brought up Catholic. I have learned to incorporate some of his practices into our kids lives. He is teaching myself and the kids how to pray before bed. We are also going to have our children baptized. I myself believe in a higher power not necessarily "God". I  feel like I am more a spiritual person.  I believe that the energy you put out is the energy you receive back. So if you are mean, rude, or unkind that is what the world will give back to you. I go and visit a Reiki Master about every 3 months and she puts "good energy" into areas that my body needs it. This is very much a spiritual and personal belief. I had my twins via c-section and found that some of the workouts I did before hand hurt my c-section scar. I started doing Yoga and have enjoyed it. Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. When I was growing up there was really no religious celebration with any holiday. However, due to my husband I have embraced the importance of Christmas and Easter. My father instilled in me that with hard work comes awesome rewards. My father and four of his friends started a company. The company was then bought out by his current employer. He owns part of this other company and works really hard for everything him and my mother has. My mom become a stay at home grandmother when we found out we were pregnant with our first Haley. My father has been able to provide not only his child, but his grandchildren an awesome life. We have been able to go on family vacations because of him which my husband and myself could not currently afford. My father works so hard and that is why I am going to school, working, and raising my family.
