         <description><![CDATA[<div>Started in 1850, games were a combination of athletics and traditional country games, such as football, cricket and penny farthings. in the games there was 'fun' events such as 'old womans race' and blindfolded wheelbarrowing. The winner resulting in getting a pound of tea. Pageantry and celebration were important for example, bands led the profession of flag bearers and competitors as they marched to&nbsp; the race course.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
