Top layer of skin wears away and exposes numerous blood capillaries. </p><p><br></p><p>Initial Care: Disinfect the wound with an antiseptic and cover with a clean dressing (gauze, bandage, ect.)</p><p><br></p><p>Post Care: Keep the abrasion clean and dry, change the dressing often. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Occurs when blunt force is delivered over a sharp bone or a bone that is poorly padded. It gives the wound the appearance of a jagged edge cavity. </p><p><br/></p><p>Initial Care: Apply direct pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding. Disinfect with an antiseptic and cover with sterile dressing until proper care is administered and stitches are given (if laceration is deep enough)</p><p><br/></p><p>Post Care: Keep the area clean and change dressing often to avoid infections. </p>]]></description>

Administer sutures and apply sterile dressing.</p><p><br/></p><p>Post Care: Keep incision site clean and dry while changing the sterile dressing often.</p>]]></description>
