He departs from the station toward Dover with his servant, Passepartout.

Chapter 3: Detective Fix Appears
First stamp in the passport.
Passepartout discovers time zone changes.

Chapter 4: First Conflicts
They arrive earlier than expected.
Passepartout enters a temple wearing shoes and causes trouble.

Chapters 4–6: Inland Adventure
The railway is incomplete, so they continue on foot and then by elephant.
They rescue Aouda from a sati (ritual immolation) ceremony.

Chapter 6: Legal Troubles
They are arrested due to the temple incident in Bombay.
Fogg pays bail to continue the journey.

Chapters 7–8: Change of Plans
Aouda can't find her uncle.
Passepartout is tricked by Fix and misses the ship.

Chapters 8–9: Unexpected Reunion
Passepartout survives on his own in Japan.
He reunites with Fogg in Yokohama.

Chapters 9–10: Train Adventure
They cross the U.S. by train.
They are attacked by Sioux Indians; Passepartout is kidnapped.

Chapter 11: Racing Against Time
They can't find a ship in time, so they buy one.
They sail to Liverpool, burning parts of the ship as fuel.

Chapters 11–12: Arrest and Resolution
Fogg is arrested by Fix, who realizes his mistake.
They reach London seemingly late, but discover it’s one day early due to traveling eastward around the world.

Chapter 12: Happy Ending
Fogg wins the bet.
He marries Aouda.
